A-Level students shine

We are delighted to announce that Magna students have achieved excellent A Level and BTEC Level 3 results, with 49% of entries at A*-A or equivalent and 55% at A*-B or equivalent. All BTEC Level 3 qualifications were at the highest possible grade of Distinction*, which once again is likely to place our students well within the top 1% of schools and colleges nationally for progress for BTEC Level 3 qualifications.
Magna Academy’s Sixth Form has an exceptionally flexible approach, offering students mixed pathways in the sixth form where they can study a range of both A Levels and BTEC Level 3 qualifications to tailor their education to their future aspirations.
Mr Law - Head of Sixth Form, is understandably pleased with the results:
“I am very proud of the dedication students have shown, these results are a testament to their hard work and desire to succeed. Our pupils have worked with great determination and focus in order to achieve these fantastic results and this will help them greatly in their future studies and careers. Most of our students will now be going on to the University of their choice to pursue their studies and I wish them all the very best of luck”.
Ofsted graded the Sixth form as outstanding in June 2015, noting that ‘Teaching in the Sixth Form is superb’ and that ‘Sixth Form students are a great credit to the Academy.’
