The article firmly refutes the notion that zero-tolerance policies have caused school exclusions to rise, which is a view given credence this week in Parliament's Education Select Committee paper, 'Forgotten Children'.

We are delighted that Tom has chosen to offer Magna Academy, alongside Michaela School, as examples of the application of zero-tolerance and as examples of why such a policy creates, as Tom writes, "positive and respectful environments".
