Visit to Magna from RSC South West

In May 2017 we received a request from the office of the Regional Schools Commissioner in Bristol for Magna Academy to host an 'immersion day' for a senior member of its team, as follows:

"We in the RSC SW team have been given the choice of which school we’d like to visit, and I’d be really keen to come down to Magna for a day because, having heard you speak a couple of times, I’d be interested in seeing more of what you’re doing at Magna first hand."

On 17 July, Daniel Webb-Jones visited our Academy and spent the day with students and staff. He shared these very kind thoughts after that visit and we would like to share them with you:

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and all your colleagues for giving up so much of your time to talk to me about your school and show me all the brilliant things you’re doing yesterday. It was fantastic to meet such inspirational people and to hear about everything you’re doing to transform the life chances of so many of your pupils. I was particularly impressed with the confidence your pupils showed in engaging with me, you and each other – it’s obvious that not only are they doing well academically, but you’re also helping them to become confident, kind and capable members of society."
